By purchasing, downloading, or using Colorboy or any FutureFx Studio software ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the Software.
FutureFx Studio grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Software, subject to the tier purchased:
This is a license to use the Software, not a transfer of ownership. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by FutureFx Studio.
You may not: redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share your license key or activation credentials with third parties; reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Software; use the Software on devices you do not own, except as expressly permitted for commercial productions you are contracted on.
Each license is tied to a limited number of simultaneous activations (one for Lite, two for Pro). You may deactivate a device via FutureFx Studio at any time to free a slot for another Mac you own. An internet connection is required only for initial activation; the Software functions offline afterward.
Colorboy Pro is sold as a one-time payment for a lifetime license — not a subscription. Pricing may change over time (including promotional Early Adopter pricing during launch periods); the price you pay at checkout is the price you are charged, regardless of future price changes.
All sales are final. Due to the digital nature of the Software and the detailed technical information, documentation, and demonstration material made available prior to purchase, FutureFx Studio does not offer refunds under any circumstances, except where required by applicable law.
Colorboy Pro includes free lifetime updates. Updates are distributed through the FutureFx Studio application. FutureFx Studio is not obligated to maintain compatibility with future versions of macOS or DaVinci Resolve indefinitely, but will make commercially reasonable efforts to do so.
The Software, including its source code, color science algorithms, film emulation profiles, and all associated assets, is the exclusive property of FutureFx Studio and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. Purchasing a license does not grant you any ownership rights to the Software itself.
The Software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. FutureFx Studio does not guarantee the Software will be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FutureFx Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Software, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.
FutureFx Studio reserves the right to revoke a license in cases of fraud, chargebacks, or violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Software ceases immediately.
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
For questions about these Terms, contact us at hi@futurefxstudio.com.

FutureFx Studio ("we" or "us") recognizes and respects the privacy of users of futurefxstudio.com and the FutureFx Studio application (together, "the Service"). This Privacy Policy describes the information collection, use, storage, and disclosure practices applicable to the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. We will post notice of any such modification on this site. Continued use of the Service after a modification constitutes your acceptance of the changes. Modifications will not be applied retroactively.
License validation: if you purchase or activate Colorboy, we collect your email address, license key, a unique hardware identifier (Machine ID), and the activation date. This information is strictly necessary to validate your license and enforce your plan's activation limits (one for Lite, two for Pro). It is retained for as long as your license remains active.
Purchases: payment processing is handled through Stripe. We do not store your card number or financial data directly — Stripe processes and holds it under its own security standards (PCI-DSS). See Stripe's Privacy Policy for more detail on their data handling.
Newsletter: if you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect only your email address. This is strictly opt-in — it is collected only if you provide it voluntarily — and retained for as long as necessary to operate the newsletter.
Support: if you contact us for technical support, we collect whatever information you choose to include in your message (email, inquiry content) so we can respond.
We use the following third-party providers to operate the Service. Our agreements with them prohibit them from using the information we provide for any purpose other than delivering the contracted service, and require them to keep it confidential:
We do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party, nor do we share it for third-party marketing purposes.
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
We do not collect sensitive personal information categories (such as social security number, driver's license, biometric data, precise geolocation, religious beliefs, or union membership, among others). If we were to begin doing so, we will update this Policy before that collection occurs.
Subject to certain exceptions under applicable data protection law, you have the right to request access, deletion, and portability of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at hi@futurefxstudio.com.
By using the Service, you understand and agree that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a country other than your own, in accordance with this Policy, and that this Policy governs such processing without regard to conflict of law principles.
We follow industry-standard practices to protect your information. Financial transactions are conducted via encrypted connections through Stripe. However, as with any internet service, we cannot guarantee that third parties will not unlawfully access data despite our efforts. We retain your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected (for example, while your license remains active, or for as long as necessary to operate the newsletter).
The Service is not directed at individuals under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
You confirm that you have read and understood this Policy. Where the legal basis for processing your data is your consent, you agree to our processing of your data as described herein. If you wish to object to or withdraw your consent, contact us at hi@futurefxstudio.com. Note that withdrawing consent does not affect our right to process data when necessary to fulfill contractual obligations to you (such as validating your active license), comply with the law, prevent fraud, or enforce our Terms & Conditions.
The Service may contain links to other websites. We do not control the privacy practices of those sites. This Policy applies only to information collected and maintained by FutureFx Studio.
We may use cookies or similar technologies for basic analytics purposes, to understand how the site is used. We do not use advertising cookies or share them with third-party ad networks.
Any changes will be posted on this page with the corresponding "Last updated" date.
